Specialist dyslexia assessment and tailored support for children and young people

BrightPath Assessment & Therapy is led by Heather Graham BSc (Hons), a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over a decade of clinical practice. Heather graduated from the University of Manchester with First Class Honours in 2011, and has since led highly specialist teams in both acute hospitals and community settings.

Heather is also the parent of a dyslexic child. She understands how overwhelming it can feel when your child is struggling with reading, writing or confidence — and how important it is to feel listened to, supported and informed.

BrightPath was created to provide families with clarity, compassion and evidence-based support, ensuring every child feels understood and every parent feels empowered.

This combination of professional expertise and personal experience shapes every assessment, every recommendation and every conversation we have with families.

What We Do

At BrightPath Assessment & therapy, we provide comprehensive dyslexia assessments and speech & language support that help children, families and schools understand not just what the difficulties are, but why they may be happening and how to support them effectively.

Our assessments explore each child’s individual profile, including strengths and areas of need in:

  • Reading

  • Spelling

  • Writing

  • Memory and processing

  • Phonological skills

  • Language and communication

  • Learning confidence

We aim to make the process calm, child-centred and genuinely useful, giving families clear answers, practical recommendations and a supportive plan for moving forward.
